Great combined gown and hood deals! We are a serious company in the academic wear business, offering a full gown, hood and mortarboard service and are not to be confused with online-auction suppliers offering just cheap gowns made for the American highschool market, or gowns with no attempt to supply academic hoods and mortarboards. Our hoods are made here in Somerset to the British 'burgon' shape and are not the strange sqare baby's bib wuth flimsy ribbons offered by some chinese-gown importers. Be assured that nobody in the UK supplies gowns and hoods as reasonably priced as we do. We are listed by the prestigious Burgon Society - that promotes the wearing of academic dress and regalia - as a supplier of academic wear, alongside names like Ede and Ravenscroft, Wippells and William Northam.

We looked at the very expensive gowns and hoods we had ourselves graduated in and based the design of our "Knights of Castle Cary" gown on them. Our academic robes are typically just a third of the cost of the 'official' garments yet express a sense of tradition and authenticity that contribute to the pageantry of formal ocassions in schools, civic events and religious ceremonies.
